Privacy policy

Version of 30 September 2026

This policy is an English translation, provided for your convenience. The French version is the legally binding one: read the privacy policy in French or English.

This page explains what personal data we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights.

In brief

  • We only collect what we need to answer you and prepare your trip.
  • Our business is established in South Korea. Your data is therefore processed in Korea.
  • We use a few outside services: Google Sheets, Telegram, an email sending service, WhatsApp, PayPal, PostHog. They are listed in article 5.
  • Our website sets no cookies.
  • We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
  • You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data.

Article 1. Who is responsible for your data

  • Lucas Lab (루카랩), sole proprietorship under Korean law (개인사업자)
  • Registered office: 5th floor, 34 Byeollaejungang-ro, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea (경기도 남양주시 별내중앙로 34, 5층)
  • Legal representative: BAYKAN Lucas
  • Contact for your data: Show email(click to show)

Representative in the European Union: [TO COMPLETE after the lawyer's opinion: name and address of the representative in the European Union, or removal of this line if no representative is required]

Article 2. The data we collect, and why

2.1 When you fill in the contact form

Data:

  • your first name and email address;
  • your travel dates, your budget in Korea per person, the make-up of your group, the offers that interest you;
  • your message, if you write one;
  • your contact preference and, if you choose WhatsApp, your number;
  • the date and time of sending, the language and the page of the website you write from.

Why: to answer you and offer you a quote.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract.

What happens technically: your request is recorded in a Google Sheets spreadsheet. The team receives a notification on Telegram and by email. You receive an acknowledgement by email.

To block automated submissions, we use your IP address temporarily: we limit the number of submissions per address and per hour. We do not write the content of your request in the website's technical logs.

The form asks for no health data. Do not write any in the message field.

2.2 When we exchange by WhatsApp or email

Data: your name, your number or email address, the content of our exchanges and the documents you send us.

Why: to prepare your quote, perform the service and answer you during your stay.

Legal basis: the contract, or steps taken at your request before the contract.

WhatsApp is optional. You can always choose email instead.

We do not need a copy of your passport. Do not send us one, either by WhatsApp or by email.

2.3 Information about your health

Some information can help us advise you better: a food allergy, a diet, difficulty walking, a child's needs.

We only ask for it if it is useful for your trip. You are free not to give it. If you do give it, we ask for your explicit consent, in writing. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

We only use it to adapt our advice. We delete it at the end of the service. If possible, give it by email rather than by WhatsApp.

Legal basis: your explicit consent.

2.4 Video calls

For the itinerary check, we talk by video call using [TO COMPLETE: name of the video call tool]. We do not record the video call.

Legal basis: the contract.

2.5 Order, payment and invoice

Data: your name, your email address, your postal address and your country of residence, the quote, the amount paid, the date and reference of the payment.

Why: to collect the price, issue your invoice and keep our accounts.

Legal basis: the contract, and our accounting and tax obligations.

Payment is processed by PayPal. We never see your bank card numbers. PayPal processes your payment data according to its own privacy policy.

2.6 Website audience measurement

We measure visits to the website with PostHog, without cookies. The data is hosted in the European Union.

What we measure:

  • the pages viewed and the website you came from;
  • clicks on the main buttons and on the WhatsApp link;
  • offers being displayed on screen;
  • starting and sending the form, with the offers chosen, the make-up of the group and the budget, or the field in error;
  • reading an article up to three quarters of the way.

We never send PostHog your name, your email, your number or your message.

[TO COMPLETE after lot 07: how PostHog handles the IP address (kept, truncated or deleted) and how long audience data is kept]

Why: to know which pages are useful and where requests come from.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the website.

Every week, the team receives on Telegram a summary of visit figures. It contains only totals, no data about any individual.

2.7 Loading the website

When you visit the website, your browser sends your IP address:

  • to our host, [TO COMPLETE: name of the production host], which serves the pages;
  • to the jsDelivr service, which provides the website's Korean font.

2.8 Reviews and testimonials

If you publish a review or allow us to publish your testimonial or photo, we process this data with your written agreement. You can withdraw it at any time. See the testimonial and photo use agreement.

2.9 What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your data.
  • We make no automated decisions about you.
  • At present, we do not send you advertising by email. If this changes, we will ask for your agreement first.

Article 3. The people travelling with you

If you give us information about your travel companions or your children (age, needs), let them know and show them this page. We collect no data directly from a child.

Article 6. Transfers outside the European Union

Our business is established in South Korea. Your data is therefore transferred to Korea and processed from Korea.

On 17 December 2021, the European Commission recognised that South Korea ensures an adequate level of data protection. This transfer therefore requires no additional safeguard.

Some of the services in article 5 may process your data in other countries outside the European Union, in particular the United States.

[TO COMPLETE after the lawyer's opinion: for each service, country of processing and safeguard governing the transfer]

Article 7. Security

We limit access to your data to the team members who need it. Our accounts are protected by separate passwords and, where possible, by two-step verification. We keep no access keys in the website's code.

Article 8. Your rights

You can ask us:

  • to access your data and receive a copy;
  • to correct inaccurate data;
  • to delete your data;
  • to restrict its use;
  • to object to its use based on our legitimate interest, for example audience measurement;
  • to receive the data you gave us in a readable format, to pass it on to another provider;
  • to withdraw your consent, where we process your data on that basis. Withdrawal does not affect what was done before.

To exercise your rights, write to Show email(click to show). We may ask you for information to verify your identity. We reply within the time set by law.

If our reply does not satisfy you, you can lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country. In France, this is the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.

Article 9. Cookies

Our website sets no cookies. Two display preferences may be stored in your browser (local storage): your choice of light or dark theme, and the closing of the current offer banner. They are only used for display, are never sent to us and are deleted with your browsing data. This is why the website shows no cookie banner.

If we ever add a tool that sets cookies, for example for advertising, we will ask for your agreement first and update this page.

Article 10. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our tools or practices change. The date of the update is shown at the top of the page.

This document may be updated. The version in force is the one published on this page.
