DangolDescribe my trip

Terms of sale

Version of 1 October 2026

These terms are an English translation, provided for your convenience. The French version is the legally binding one: read the terms of sale in French or English.

These terms apply to every service you order from Dangol. Read them before accepting a quote. We send them to you with every quote and with the confirmation of your order.

Article 1. Who we are

Dangol is the brand of a sole proprietorship registered in South Korea:

  • Lucas Lab (루카랩), sole proprietorship under Korean law (개인사업자)
  • Registered office: 5th floor, 34 Byeollaejungang-ro, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea (경기도 남양주시 별내중앙로 34, 5층)
  • Business registration number: 355-14-02905
  • Legal representative: BAYKAN Lucas
  • Email: Show email(click to show)
  • WhatsApp: Open WhatsApp(click to show)

In these terms, “we” means this business. “You” means the person who orders a service for themselves or for their group, as a private individual.

Article 2. What Dangol is not

Dangol is an advisory team. We advise, we check and we answer in French or English.

  • We are not a travel agency.
  • We are not tour guides. We do not offer guided tours.
  • We do not sell trips, packages, accommodation, transport, tickets or activities.
  • We do not book or pay on your behalf.
  • We do not receive any money intended for a hotel, a restaurant, a carrier or any other provider.

You book and pay for each service yourself, directly with the provider. The contract is between you and that provider. We are not a party to it.

Article 3. Our services

Each quote describes the service ordered precisely. If the quote and these terms differ, the quote applies as regards content, price and timing.

3.1 Itinerary check

Who it is for: you already have a draft itinerary and you want it reviewed.

What you get:

  • a review of your draft by our team;
  • a video call of about 45 minutes;
  • a written report: suggested corrections, recommended addresses, pitfalls to avoid.

Price: $75, fixed price.

If you order a tailor-made trip within 30 days of your report being sent, we deduct these $75 from the price of the tailor-made trip.

Guarantee: if our review brings you no useful correction, we refund you. The conditions of this guarantee are in article 10.4.

3.2 Tailor-made trip

Who it is for: you want an itinerary built for you.

What you get:

  • a day-by-day itinerary, with journeys and times;
  • checked addresses, with their Korean names;
  • a ready-to-use map in the Naver Map app;
  • for every address to book, the information you need to book it yourself: link, recommended time slots, message in Korean ready to send;
  • one revision of the itinerary, included in the price.

Price: from $385. The exact price depends on the length of the stay, the number of cities and the size of the group. It is given to you in the quote, after a first exchange.

3.3 Arrival kit

Who it is for: you want to prepare your arrival in Korea, from the airport to your accommodation.

What you get:

  • a personal handbook, as a PDF and in a version to print: the route from the airport to your accommodation, the transport card (which one to take, where to buy it, how to top it up), taxis (app to set up before you leave, how to give the address), the neighbourhood of your accommodation (convenience stores, pharmacy, cash machine, metro, laundry, places open late), useful phrases, useful numbers and a list for your first day;
  • a video call of about 30 minutes the day before you leave, to install and set up the useful apps with you;
  • answers to your questions by message, in French or English, on the day you arrive, until [TO COMPLETE: end time, for example 9 pm, Seoul time].

The handbook is included in the tailor-made trip.

Price: from $85. The exact price is given to you in the quote.

3.4 On-site assistance by message

Who it is for: you are in Korea and you want someone who answers you in French or English.

What you get, during the period stated in the quote:

  • answers to your questions by message, in French or English;
  • a reply within 3 hours, from 9 am to 9 pm, Seoul time. A message received after 9 pm gets a reply from 9 am the next day;
  • calls in Korean to venues, under the conditions of article 4;
  • help booking an address at the last minute. You make the booking yourself, we tell you how;
  • help solving a problem: lost property, a change of plan, a question about transport or a venue.

Emergency trip within Seoul: if you have a serious problem that we cannot solve remotely, a team member can come and meet you in the city of Seoul to help you. For example: translating at a pharmacy, a hospital, a police station or the front desk of your accommodation. This trip is included in the price. We decide with you whether it is needed, depending on the situation. It is neither an outing nor a tour.

We do not replace the emergency services. In a medical emergency or danger, first call 119 (emergency and medical services) or 112 (police), then let us know.

Price: from $165 per week. The exact price depends on the length of the stay and the size of the group. It is given to you in the quote.

3.5 Experiences: Korean activities and discovery outings

Who it is for: you want to try a Korean activity (workshop, class, treatment, traditional dress rental, photo shoot) or discover a market, a district or a neighbourhood restaurant.

What you receive, for an activity:

  • the choice of a place to match your wishes, your dates and your area;
  • a check that the provider welcomes foreign visitors;
  • the best time slot and a message in Korean, ready to send.

You book and pay for the activity yourself with the provider, under the terms of article 4. The contract for the activity is made between you and that provider.

Discovery outings: on request, an outing with a team member can be considered. It is not a guided tour. [TO CONFIRM: legal framework for discovery outings, see the questions for professionals]

Price: on quotation, after a first conversation. The price is given to you in the quote.

3.6 Language support at a clinic

[TO CONFIRM: legal framework for clinic support, Medical Service Act art. 27 and 27-2, to be validated by the administrative agent (행정사)]

Who it is for: you have chosen a clinic in Korea yourself (skin care, dermatology or dental care, for example) and you want to understand and be understood.

What you receive:

  • translation into Korean of your messages to make an appointment, and translation of the clinic's replies;
  • a team member with you during the consultation, to translate.

This service is a translation and support service. We recommend no clinic, we receive no commission from any clinic and we give no medical advice. You choose the clinic and you contract with it directly: the treatment, its price and its payment fall under that contract, to which we are not a party.

Price: on quotation, after a first conversation. The price is given to you in the quote.

3.7 Settling in for a long stay

Who it is for: you are moving to Korea for several months (working holiday, studies, job transfer).

What you receive, as set out in the quote: help preparing your first weeks, in particular choosing an area, looking for housing (reading listings, preparing viewings, points to check), phone and plan, transport card and journeys, and everyday tasks.

You choose your housing and you sign the lease yourself with the landlord. We give no advice on visas or immigration.

Price: on quotation, after a first conversation. The price is given to you in the quote.

3.8 What is never included

  • The price of your accommodation, transport, meals, tickets, activities and treatments. You pay them directly to the providers.
  • Visa or entry authorisation procedures. We do not fill in any application for you.
  • Medical advice and recommendations of clinics or treatments.
  • Guided tours.

Article 4. Bookings with providers

We help you book. We do not book on your behalf.

In practice:

  • we tell you where and how to book;
  • we prepare the messages in Korean that you can send;
  • we can call a venue in Korean for you, to check a piece of information: opening hours, availability, access, whether a dish can be adapted to an allergy.

Every booking is made by you, in your name, with your contact details. You pay the provider directly. If the provider cancels, changes or refuses your booking, its own conditions apply. We help you find a solution, but we cannot commit on its behalf.

We receive no payment from the providers we recommend to you. If this ever changes, we will tell you before recommending a provider concerned.

Article 5. Quote and order

  1. You fill in the form on our website, or you write to us.
  2. We exchange with you by email or WhatsApp, as you prefer.
  3. We send you a quote by email. It states: the service, its total price and its currency, the steps and timing, the number of revisions, the assistance period where relevant, and how long the quote is valid. These terms are attached to the quote.
  4. If the quote suits you, you accept it in writing, by replying to that email. Your reply contains the sentence: “I accept quote no. [number] and I undertake to pay it.”
  5. We send you a payment link.
  6. The contract is concluded when we receive your payment. We then send you a confirmation by email, with these terms.

If you would like us to start before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, you must also ask us in writing, as set out in article 9.

Article 6. Prices and taxes

Our prices are given in US dollars (USD) on the English version of this website, and in US dollars on the French version. The currency of your quote is the one of the version you used. They are final prices, all taxes included. We add no fees to the amount of the quote.

[TO COMPLETE after the accountant's opinion: statement on VAT (Korean and, where applicable, French)]

If your bank card is not in the currency of the quote, your bank may charge exchange fees. These fees do not depend on us.

The prices shown on our website are starting prices. Only the price in the quote commits you.

Article 7. Payment and invoice

You pay in one go, in the currency of the quote, through the PayPal payment link we send you. You can pay by bank card, without opening a PayPal account.

We do not start the service before receiving payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing in the quote.

We do not see your card numbers. Payment is processed by PayPal.

After payment, we send you an invoice by email.

Article 8. Timing and revisions

The quote states:

  • for the itinerary check: the date of the video call and the time needed to send the report;
  • for the tailor-made trip: the delivery date of the itinerary and the time needed for the revision;
  • for assistance: the start and end dates.

For us to meet these deadlines, you must send us the requested information in time. If you are late, the deadlines move back by the same amount. We let you know in writing.

The tailor-made trip includes one revision. A revision means changing the delivered itinerary according to your comments, sent all at once. Beyond that, each additional revision is the subject of a quote.

If we cannot meet a deadline, we let you know as soon as possible. You can then accept a new date or cancel the service. If you cancel for this reason, we refund you in full, under the conditions of article 10.

Article 9. Right of withdrawal

9.1 Your 14-day period

You have 14 days to withdraw, with no reason needed and at no cost. The period starts on the day the contract is concluded, that is, the day we receive your payment.

We grant this period to all our customers, whatever their country of residence.

9.2 How to withdraw

Before the end of the period, send us a clear statement. You can:

  • use our online withdrawal function: [TO COMPLETE: address of the online withdrawal page];
  • write to us at Show email(click to show), with the withdrawal form attached to these terms or with a message of your own.

We send you an acknowledgement by email. It gives the date, the time and the content of your request.

9.3 If you want us to start straight away

By default, we wait for the end of the 14-day period before starting. If you want us to start earlier, write it in your email accepting the quote, with the following sentence:

“I ask for the service to start before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period.”

And, for a service that can be fully completed before the end of that period, add:

“I acknowledge that I will lose my right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.”

We tick nothing and write nothing on your behalf.

9.4 What happens if you withdraw after the service has started

  • If you asked us to start straight away and you withdraw during the service, you pay only for the part of the service already provided. This part is proportional to the total service set out in the quote. The quote divides the service into steps and gives the price of each. For assistance, the part is calculated per day of assistance started.
  • If the service is fully completed before the end of the period, and you wrote the two sentences of article 9.3, you can no longer withdraw.
  • If you did not ask us in writing to start straight away, you pay nothing for the part already provided.

9.5 Refund

We refund you no later than 14 days after receiving your decision to withdraw. We use the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you.

9.6 Customers living in Quebec, Belgium or Switzerland

If the law of your country of residence gives you more favourable rights, those rights apply. These terms do not deprive you of them.

Article 10. Cancellation and refund

This article applies after the end of the withdrawal period.

10.1 If you cancel

  • Itinerary check: you can move the video call once, at no cost, if you let us know at least 24 hours before. If you cancel before the video call, we refund the full price. After the video call, the service is not refunded, except under the guarantee of article 10.4.
  • Tailor-made trip: we keep the price of the steps already completed, according to the breakdown in the quote. We refund the rest.
  • Assistance: if you cancel before the first day of assistance, we refund the full price if you let us know at least 7 days before that first day, and half the price if you let us know later. If you cut your stay short after assistance has started, any week that has started remains due, and we refund the full weeks that have not started.

To cancel, write to us at Show email(click to show) or on WhatsApp.

10.2 If we cancel

If we cannot perform the service, we let you know as soon as possible. We refund everything we have not provided.

10.3 Refund time and method

We refund no later than 14 days after the cancellation, using the same means of payment you used, at no cost to you.

10.4 Itinerary check guarantee

If our review brings you no useful correction, we refund you.

  • What the guarantee covers: the price paid for the itinerary check.
  • How to claim it: email us at Show email(click to show) within 7 days of receiving your report. Tell us in a few lines why it brought you no useful correction.
  • What we do: we reply by email and we refund the full price of the itinerary check, within the time and by the method set out in article 10.3.
  • Once the itinerary check has been refunded, its $75 are no longer deducted from a tailor-made trip ordered afterwards (article 3.1).

This guarantee is in addition to your rights of withdrawal (article 9) and cancellation (article 10.1). It does not replace them.

Article 11. Liability

We take great care in advising you. We check our addresses and we date our information.

We are liable for the mistakes we make in our services.

We are not liable for:

  • what providers do or fail to do: hotels, restaurants, carriers, activity providers. They are liable to you for their own services;
  • changes decided by a provider after our check: closure, new opening hours, new prices, cancellation;
  • choices you make against our written advice;
  • the consequences of inaccurate or incomplete information you gave us.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence.

Article 12. Your commitments

You undertake to:

  • give us accurate information: dates, number of travellers, children's ages, relevant constraints;
  • check your own travel documents: passport, entry authorisation, driving licence;
  • comply with the conditions of the providers you book with;
  • inform the people travelling with you that you are passing on certain information about them to us.

We recommend that you take out personal travel insurance covering medical costs and cancellation. Our services include no insurance.

Article 13. Force majeure

An event that neither you nor we can foresee or prevent may make the service impossible: natural disaster, epidemic, border closure, decision of an authority.

In that case, we first look for a solution with you: new dates, an adapted itinerary. If no solution works, the contract ends. We refund you what we have not provided. Neither party owes the other any compensation.

Article 14. Complaints and mediation

If you are not satisfied, write to us at Show email(click to show). Describe the problem and include your quote number. We reply in writing within 7 working days.

[TO COMPLETE after the lawyer's opinion: contact details of a consumer mediator, only if the obligation applies and a mediator accepts our membership]

Article 15. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by [TO COMPLETE after the lawyer's opinion: chosen law].

This choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

If you live in the European Union, you can bring a case before the court of your place of residence. We do not require you to go to a Korean court.

Article 16. Your itinerary

The itineraries, reports and maps we deliver to you are for your personal use and that of the people travelling with you. You may not resell them or publish them in full without our written agreement.

Article 17. Personal data

We process your personal data as explained in our privacy policy: [TO COMPLETE: address of the privacy policy page].

Article 18. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one attached to your accepted quote.

This document may be updated. The version in force is the one published on this page.
